Eugene Proclamation

Oregon Supported Living Program is a Eugene based non-profit agency serving adults with disabilities in residential and supported living programs in Eugene and Springfield. Our goal is to provide support in ways that will enhance the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of those we serve while providing each individual the opportunity to become integral members of the community. Inherent to this mission is our program’s emphasis on arts and culture for the adults we serve. Each year we host an event called The ARTS of OSLP, where we showcase our staffs’ talents though music and our clients’ talents though art. All proceeds from this event go to our “client trip fund.” This fund allows clients who otherwise could not afford it, to go on a trip– whether locally in Oregon to visit friends or family, or to a different state to fulfill a dream trip long desired. Most of our clients have incomes that place them below the poverty level; and none of our residents are able to travel independently—all must have staff support to make it possible. So it is easy to forget that a “dream” vacation could mean a couple of days in Seattle for a Mariners baseball game! Our innovative “client trip fund” pays for such trips “one dream at a time.”

It is our hope that you will contribute to this very special event by sponsoring a piece of work to be framed, or by framing one or two pieces of art that our clients have produced. We find that framing very much highlights their work, and people are more apt to cherish it when it is displayed so beautifully. We hope your donation also provides your business the opportunity to showcase your work as well.

Please help us to continue to fulfill the dreams of the people we support through art, music and travel. We would also be pleased to have you join us March 25th (music begins at 4 o’clock) as we showcase and enjoy the Art & Music of OSLP.

With Gratitude,

Gretchen Dubie
Executive Director
Oregon Supported Living Program
