Joan is a retired service coordinator and supervisor at Lane County Developmental Disabilities Services, where she was on staff from 1985-2010. She is passionate about promoting self-determination and person-centered supports.
Upon retirement, she and her late husband, Larry, enjoyed road trips across the U.S. and volunteered for 7 summers with the National Park Service at Lava Beds National Monument near Tulelake, CA. Joan enjoys travel, writing, reading, jazz, attending classes, being with family and friends and volunteering with People First, an I/DD self-advocacy organization. |
