Lori Spencer
Residential Program Director
Lori was born and raised in Wyoming and realized her passion for supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities beginning in 1999. she was nominated two times for the Wyoming Governor's Award for Excellence in Direct Support and after an intensive apprenticeship through Ark Regional Services in Laramie, WY, was one of the first four nationally certified Direct Support Professionals in the United States. Lori worked for Disabilities Division for the State of Wyoming and served as the state Complaint Coordinator for I/DD services. Lending to her experience, Lori has served as Facility Director, Co-Director of a children's Autism program as well as medical support in the forensics unit at the Wyoming State Hospital. In October 2015, Lori decided to realize a long dream of living in Oregon so she packed up her SUV and drove until she saw the Pacific Ocean. Her adventure led her to receive training as a Behavior Specialist and ultimately to the Residential Program Director at OSLP. Lori has a great love of the ocean and ocean wildlife. She enjoys spending time in the natural beauty of Oregon and likes to decorate and inspire others with optimism and laughter.
