Meet Megan

Megan grew up in Monroe, New York and moved to Eugene in 2010 to attend the University of Oregon as a student-athlete on the track and cross country teams. She graduated with a B.S. in Human Physiology in 2014, and briefly pursued running full time after that. During her time running, Megan began coaching athletes through Special Olympics, where she found a passion for working with individuals who experience disabilities. She then went on to earn a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management at the University of Oregon.
Megan was introduced to OSLP through her work with the Hilyard Community Center as an adaptive recreation instructor. Currently, she works as a Program Coordinator for Mobility International USA. She has a strong passion for empowering others, and making sure our community is inclusive and accessible to everyone. In her spare time, Megan enjoys running, hiking, music, and coaching athletes with Special Olympics. |
