Meet Raul
Program Director

Picture
Raul Gil-Azamar is a dedicated leader, husband, and father who is passionate about helping individuals live meaningful, self-directed lives. As Program Director for Oregon Supported Living Program, he is committed to fostering a person-centered culture that empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to pursue their goals, build independence, and engage fully in their communities.

Originally from Arizona and now calling Oregon home, Raul brings a leadership style built on trust, collaboration, accountability, and service. He works closely with individuals, families, staff, and community partners to ensure supports are tailored to each person’s unique strengths, needs, and aspirations.

Outside of his professional role, Raul serves as a high school varsity football Defensive Coordinator, where he enjoys mentoring young athletes and helping them develop discipline, resilience, and character both on and off the field. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, sons, and grandson. Whether supporting family activities, coaching football, or enjoying the outdoors, he values the relationships and experiences that keep him grounded and connected to what matters most.

Raul believes that every person deserves dignity, respect, choice, and the opportunity to define success for themselves.

Everyone has the right to a great life—some people just have a different path to get there.
