Direct Support Professionals will be hired on at a rate determined by the years of experience one has in the field. Our agency operates on a union negotiated wage scale for wage transparency and pay equity.
What Is scheduling like?
Scheduling and hours at OSLP are guaranteed. The schedule you are hired into will remain unchanged on a week to week basis and may only be altered if the needs of the people you support change. Overtime is regularly available; however, it is never mandated.
group homes or facilities?
We provide support in a residential environment; we do not own or operate any facility-based services. Everyone we support has their own bedroom in a traditional home setting among the community. There are 1-4 people living in each house served by the 24-hour support model.
What is training like?
We provide, pay for, and facilitate comprehensive training including person specific training in the program, New Employee Orientation, Annual Staff Training, CPR & First Aid, and Oregon Intervention Systems. Initial training generally lasts 4-6 weeks. You will be fully equipped to provide quality support with confidence before you are ever left alone.
